Before co-founding Buying Volusia Homes, he became a major home buyer in Jacksonville, where he built a reputation for taking on everything from distressed homes to large investment opportunities. His tech-savvy approach helped him streamline deals, make the process easier for sellers, and ultimately stand out in a competitive market.

After years of success in Jacksonville, Kelvin decided it was time to be closer to family and join forces with his longtime best friend, Matias. That decision sparked the creation of Buying Volusia Homes, where Kelvin now brings his experience, systems, and personal touch to homeowners throughout Volusia County.

Outside of real estate, Kelvin enjoys football, spending time on the water, and hiking local trails with his dog, Alan. Friends describe him as driven yet approachable, someone who can connect with just about anyone and make the process of selling a home feel easy.

About Matias

Matias was born and raised right here in Volusia County, and his roots in the area run deep. He became a vital part of Gomez Contracting, where his renovation knowledge helped the company expand and take on projects ranging from complete overhauls to high-end coastal homes. His ability to see potential in any property made him an invaluable piece of the team’s growth.

Today, that same expertise plays a central role at Buying Volusia Homes. Matias’ eye for detail and hands-on experience allow him to assess any house with confidence, no matter its condition. His approach ensures homeowners can sell without worrying about repairs or hidden issues, knowing their property is understood and valued for what it can become.

When he’s not working, Matias loves spending time outdoors. Whether it’s boating, fishing, or just a day by the water, he’s most at home near the coast. He enjoys traveling with his fiancée, playing with his dog, Ginger, and taking on hands-on side projects — from woodworking to building unique pieces for his home.

About Nicole

Nicole is a co-founder of Buying Volusia Homes and an essential part of the team’s success. She has been Kelvin’s friend since college and Matias’ childhood friend, making her a natural fit in a team built on trust and long-standing friendships. Before joining BVH, she managed a research firm, where she grew a small team of 4 into an entire research branch, demonstrating her leadership, strategic thinking, and ability to scale operations effectively. Known for her attention to detail, strong communication skills, and bilingual abilities, Nicole ensures every transaction runs smoothly while providing valuable insights through her data analysis of the real estate market.

Her sharp analytical skills and personable approach allow her to interpret market trends and help the team make informed decisions that benefit homeowners and investors alike. She balances her professional expertise with genuine care, making clients feel confident, supported, and understood at every step.

Outside of work, Nicole enjoys sipping a good matcha, spending time with her dog Puff, attending concerts with her fiancé, and relaxing at the beach to soak up the sun and enjoy a perfect tan.
